Fine Tuning The Expressive Print

From 18 to 23 November 2008 I am going to attend an advanced course of photography, Fine Tuning The Expressive Print, held by John Sexton in his studio at Carmel Valley, California. This workshop is an in depth study of advanced darkroom techniques and a step forward compared to the workshop I attended in April 2005 (The Expressive Black And White Print). Thanks to John Sexton, former assistant to Ansel Adams for many years, it is possible to learn the most advanced and refined forms of todays’ traditional black and white photography. His workshops are very technical and ultra professional and represent the best available education on this topic in the world. They are very intensive (starting at 8.00 AM and going on until 11.00 PM in a non-stop session, for 5 days) and such a rich mine of information to leave you absolutely impressed. The superb competence, experience and passion for photography that John demonstrates, his love for traditional black and white, and his strong personality can change forever the vision of photography – and of reality – of his workshop’s participants.
