Ansel Adams: “Early Works”

Until the 28th of February, 2010 at the San Jose Museum of Art in San Jose, California, it is possible to visit a very interesting exhibition of small format prints made by Ansel Adams between 1920 and 1950. In these three decades Adams’ style evolved from soft and warm tone prints (Parmelian prints) to the cold tone, extremely sharp prints that all photographers know very well, at least by reputation. As always it is sad to notice that exhibitions of this high level never travel or are organized in Italy, and only those who travel to the USA can admire and closely study the work of one of the greatest artists of mankind.
