USA 06-30, photogallery United States) and Grand Canyon da Yavapai Point, Dettaglio, Arizona, U.S.A. (archive nr. USA 06-23) are the four new prints available from today for sale. One July morning I was hiking at the foot of the Pale di San Martino in the Paneveggio Forest, the largest forest of the Dolomites. In the night it had rained and the grass was still wet. Near the main trail I saw big green leaves which attracted my attention. The outcome of my exploration among these leaves is the print you can see now on my website. It was made with a T-Max 100 4x5” film and with a Apo-Symmar 180 mm lens. I used a yellow filter Wratten nr. 8. The exposure was 15 seconds at f 45 with the rear of the camera tilted in order to enhance the big leaf in the foreground and to increase the depth of field. I planned a N+1 development because the scene was completely dark and with little contrast. The other 3 photos were made during the trip Luisella and I made in 2006 in the South West of the US, one of the magic lands of our planet. At the Grand Canyon I felt the same feeling of immensity and sense of sacred I lived many times when I was in the Himalaya. In the Saguaro National Park, immersed in the dry solitude of the Sonora Desert, we spent days of complete harmony and peacefulness. Even today that feeling of total peace in the company of the big Saguaros is alive and present in my spirit. http://www.marcobianchifotografo.com/photogallery/index.php?catId=5&p=1 |
