Andrea Salvà from Merano (Bolzano) has just given me the advice to buy photographic films from a German wholesaler called Nordfoto. Here prices are in effect lower than in Italy. For example, one box of 10 pieces of 4x5” films Kodak Portra 160 costs about 30 Euros including taxes and excluding shipping costs, while at Unionfotomarket in Milan the price is about 50 Euros. Andrea says that their shipping service is efficient (German tradition…) and has a reasonable cost. I have not yet tried Nordfoto, but this seems indeed to be a very good alternative to our very expensive shops. The only problem is: their website is only in German, no English version available.
